Arnold Volunteer Fire Dept. receives pet oxygen masks!

The Arnold Volunteer Fire Department has just placed into service pet oxygen masks for use on their front line units. The pet oxygen masks were donated by one of our members Dr. Kate Byrne who is the owner of the Veterinary Microbiology Consulting and Management company. There are three sizes available: Large for dogs like Labradors , Medium for smaller dogs like Beagles, and Small for cats and toy breeds like Yorkies. The flow rate is 1 to 2 liters per minute, and can be used on most animals with the only limitation being nose size. We are the first station in Anne Arundel County to employ these life saving devices for our extended family members.
